I’ve put together a carefully curated selection of my skills that were developed from my international experience.
Leadership
My leadership skills have developed due to my international experience. Being able to lead groups in my job at Amazon has allowed me to be able to lead large groups of different backgrounds while being able to effectively communicate with my employees. I have become Secretary of the University of Florida Undergraduate Anthropology Association, where I am able to lead individuals of all levels while serving and representing those under me. My leadership skills were developed through my contribution to uFASA and studying abroad.
Communication
Due to my international development, my communication skills have been honed to be able to effectively communicate with individuals of all ethnicities and backgrounds. By studying abroad in Fiji, I lived with a Fijian family where we had dinner together and had to communicate about our lives and what we like to do. I also volunteered at an Ear, Nose, and Throat office where I interacted with individuals of different religious perspectives and backgrounds, where I would have to explain procedures to individuals who may not understand it. Due to my international experience and being able to lead individuals in my community club, uFASA, I have developed important communication skills that will benefit me in the near future.
